How to become a member

Becoming a member of the Southeast Kansas Buying Club is easy. There are a few simple steps to take in the beginning.

First of all, you need to contact the New Member Coordinator Jennifer O. (see dear prospective member) who can guide you through the process and answer your club related questions. Also you need to read through the member handbook [on this site] and see if you are able to meet the membership requirements listed therein.

You will need to pay a membership fee, we have two levels of membership: Working Member for $12.00 annually, and a Non-Working Member of $60.00 annually (only $5 per month!). However, if you are interested in a “test drive” of the club we allow that too! You get to place one order without membership fees to see if this style of bulk ordering and club membership works for you. Working members receive a discount on regular priced UNFI purchases in addition to lowered annual Dues. Non-working members do not receive any discounts. New this year~ we will provide childcare for working member families with small children, this is on site, and is provided as an incentive to families who want to be involved but find it difficult to do with small children.

Members are responsible for participating in the club, contributing to the work of the club, including annual meetings, committees, etc. You also need to submit your order by the deadline, be aware of delivery schedules, call in to find out what time delivery is if necessary, and pick up your order in a prompt manner, bringing payment due.

It’s pretty simple to join. We are looking forward to cooperating together with you!
