Spring 2011 Fruit Order

Price List

Spring is on its way, pay no attention to that blanket of white fluffy stuff outside! With crocus and daffodils come Bithell Farms spring seafood and fruit order time! Bithell Farms is located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Our buying club has been ordering from Bithell Farms for several years now. Their products are not organic, conventionally grown and processed without abusing pesticides (this means that they are grown with pesticides, however, Mary Bithell assures me that they do not overly use pesticides).

“On the farm there are strawberries, blackberries, boysenberries, blueberries, raspberries, and loganberries. By controlling our own growing, planting, packing, and delivery we are able to bring you the highest quality fruit in our own trucks directly to your city. Loaded with natural vitamins, enzymes, and fiber that are not destroyed by the process of cooking, these fruit products provide an important part of your daily diet.”

Order forms will be available at the next divide. Order deadline is Friday Feb 25.

Bithell Farms Spring Fruit Order

By member Brandi Monson

It’s here! Time to place our group order to Bithell Farms. Ordering information will be availabe at divide this Thursday! Be sure to pick up your order form and fill it out. I’ll be placing the order on Friday, Feb 26th. Please have your order and payment turned in to me by the deadline.

For our new members, Bithell Farms  www.bithellfarms.com is a conventional fruit farm in Oregon that produces quality individually quick  frozen {IQF} fruits in 14# boxes, along with fruit purees, and freezer jams. Members like to share boxes so that you can get a greater selection of fruit. You can also look at previous posts about Bithell Farms to get a better idea of what is available. Club members save $2.00 per box off of the listed price. This fruit order is open to non-members, so you if know of someone who might be interested, please pass this on. Non-members pay full price for the fruit.

During the Spring order, Bithell also has seafood, such as shrimp and salmon, which several members have tried. If you have any questions, you can ask them via the comments section below or on our yahoogroup!

Bithell’s expect to begin delveries by March 6th and finishing by the first of April. The only change from the fall order is the price of raspberries has come down! yeah!! Raspberries are now $44.00 per box. Fruit prices vary from $31.00 to $47.00 per box. Purees are $37.00 per bucket, except Raspberry puree which is $44.00. Freezer jams are $38.00 per case. (all prices are BEFORE the discount.)

Thanks again. Let’s make this a great order, remember, I’m not going to place a fall order this year. Stock up now!
